Matthias Zillmer

Matthias Zillmer, born in 1965, is able to look back on many years’ experience in the field of private equity and mergers & acquisitions. As managing director of Norddeutsche Private Equity GmbH, a medium-sized private equity fund, he was involved in fundraising and played an important role in establishing the company. Prior to that Matthias Zillmer worked in Germany and abroad as a senior investment manager with the 3i Group, one of the world’s leading private equity companies. Here he transacted private equity business of all types from financing start-ups, and SME management buy-outs all the way to major leverage buy-outs.

Matthias Zillmer is a qualified banker ("Bankkaufmann") and business manager ("Diplom-Kaufmann") and graduated with a "Master of Business Administration" (MBA "McCallum Graduate School of Business", USA).

Matthias Zillmer is a founding partner and managing partner of the Hartmann Zillmer Corporate Finance GmbH.

In total the partners have successfully completed transactions with a volume in excess of € 2 billion.
